Minerals Guide
Essential minerals your body needs for optimal health, from bone strength to immune function.
Understanding Minerals
Minerals are inorganic elements that come from soil and water and are absorbed by plants or consumed by animals. Your body needs minerals for various functions, including building strong bones, transmitting nerve impulses, and making hormones.
Minerals are classified as either macrominerals (needed in larger amounts) or trace minerals (needed in smaller amounts). Both types are equally important for maintaining good health.
